Bought this instead of getting the Fitter brand I have used in the past. This one is pretty good. The material on the top is a bit more slick than I would like for patients, but it will do. Otherwise construction is decent.

I have had ankle problems & pain for the last two years, after many dr visits & multiple podiatrist visits, I saw a chiropractor that helped with my alignment & suggested a simple wobble/balance board to help strengthen the muscles in my ankle, what a simple & practical suggestion that no other doctor had ever discussed with me. I ordered this & although it was larger than I'd imagined, it was true to the description & size dynamics, so others who complained of the size should have read all of the details prior to purchasing because it was specifically referenced for our information. Because I have flat feet, I'm double jointed & have major ankle problems, I really needed a "beginner/moderate" type of board & this was perfect, it's also not so easy that you'd master it in a few weeks without any use for it afterwards. I've used this for a few weeks now & my balance has increased exponentially, as well as lessening the pain. I couldn't balance on the board without holding onto someone the first day, and now I'm able to control and focus my balance, and the goal for my therapy is to balance like a crane on one leg, it'll be a few more weeks for that, but it's an achievable goal nonetheless.
I had several falls due to my weak ankles & off balance in my spine, but with the help of my chiropractor and balance board therapy, I am feeling so much better and haven't fallen again since, it's really a simple but amazingly useful tool for those who suffer these same types of problems. The balance board in the chiropractor's office is much smaller & I have to wear my shoes in order to use it, but this board is nice & has a great exterior on top that can be used with our without shoes and allows you to grasp on with bare feet and not slide around. I also have to wear orthodic inserts in my shoes and could never stand without them before, but now my ankle has strengthened from continued use of the board to allow me to even use it barefoot without the pain I used to endure. The price point it great, the board is perfect for anyone suffering from similar problems as myself & I couldn't have asked for much better, I would highly recommend this to anyone suffering from weak ankles or just for good balance techniques, my teenage son loves to use this to help with his balance now too because he practices mma & it's helped him focus more, great product!

This is just what I was looking for
in working with my special needs daughter,
(autistic, right brain disorder) in conjuction
with her in home brain gym exercises. This is

This board is just as sturdy as the one at my physical therapist's office. The only difference is that it's about $20 cheaper.

The rocker board shipped to my home promptly and in perfect condition. It is exactly as represented in the online store. I ordered it because it resembles the balance board I used in physical therapy while recovering from surgery. It is well-constructed and sturdy. My feet grip the rubber mat attached to the top and do not slip. I use it on a hardwood floor with a mat intended for exercise equipment placed underneath it, so that it doesn't mar the finish on the floor. I use it for balance and also for doing squats. It stowes away easily against the wall behind a chair in the living room. I would recommend it to anyone who thinks they might need one for exercise or physical therapy.
