Deceptive & False Advertising Getting Annoying Aug 28, 2009
By J.D.

As much as this 'kit' sounds wonderful with all of its inclusions, I am seriously getting agrivated by the deceptive details and specifications listed for this product (and it's not the only one). When a product is going to cost a certain amount and the details and/or picture specifically state that there are a certain number of items included, there is NO EXCUSE when the customer receives anything different. To state that TWO blocks are included in this kit and then only ONE is received with the shipment, it may seem frivilous but it is downright deceptive, and ANNOYING. An $8 or $9 item, big deal, right? Well, how many people are getting ripped off for that mere $8/$9? This NEEDS to be addressed and rectified. I don't care if I had to pay 8 more dollars; at least I would know that I would be receiving what is being marketed to me. Proper business ethics demonstrated here would be appreciated.

Great Starter Kit for the Experienced Beginner Jun 28, 2008

I just got into yoga about a month ago, and decided to buy this set. I exercise (including strength training, biking, running, or step classes) 4-6 days a week, and I decided to add yoga to the mix. I liked the DVD that came with the set very much. As you go through the series, the instructor also gives modifications for beginning, intermediate, and advanced. You can also go to the website to download a video reference booklet of all the poses. However, I would not recommend this to someone who has never done any yoga before. The standing series moves quickly.
The video consists of:
5 min Ujaii breathing
2 min Pranayama (breath control)
10 min Sun Salutations - lots of cat, cat lift (I think she called this cow), down dog, chaturangua, and up dog.
14 min Standing Series - warrior, triangle, and reverse triangle poses.
18 min Sitting Series - stretching
2 min Relaxation - lying pose
2 min Appendices - Modifications
If you would like to extend your relaxation, I would recommend stopping the DVD, because the appendices can be distracting.
The reason I give this product a 4 instead of 5 is that in the video, she uses two blocks, and the set only comes with one.
